  • Gotico Antiqua Durandus

    Gotico-Antiqua first used in Mainz by Peter Schoffer & Johann Fust for Guillaume Durand’s Rationale Divinorum Officorum in the XIV century.

  • Hyper Scrypt is a modern stencil typeface inspired by the stained glass technique used in the Metz cathedral. It borrows the stained glass method, drawing holes for the light with black lead. This creates a reverse typeface, where the shapes of the letters are drawn by their counters.

  • Jabin

    Jabin by Frida Medrano was inspired by George Shelley's work on the cover "The Second Part of Natural Scripture" and in the Gutenberg Bible. Both designs have lowercase letters overly consistent (almost identical), and the uppercase letters have an exaggerated ornamentation, creating a great aesthetic contrast.

  • JugenD

    Jugend is a display monospace family taking its roots in a lettering from the Jugendstil/Art-nouveau magazine of the same name, originally published in 1896. From these five letters a whole alphabet was extrapolated with alternates for a number of characters. Jugend 1896 has the same weight as the original lettering whereas Jugend 2021 is a lighter and sharper version.

    Lilex is an extended font on top of IBM Plex Mono designed for developers. It contains ligatures, special characters (e.g. PowerLine), Greek and exists in a variable format.

    Merriweather was designed to be a text face that is pleasant to read on screens. It features a very large x height, slightly condensed letterforms, a mild diagonal stress, sturdy serifs and open forms.

    Minipax is a typeface inspired by George Orwell's 1984. It's been designed to fit with the atmosphere of the Orwellian dystopia. Although Minipax remains a rather transparent text typeface, many of its distinctive features have been crafted to reflect de dusty and gritty universe of the novel.

    Ojuju is a reverse contrast variable typeface inspired by African Masquerades. The masks worn by the Dogon dancers from Mali inspired the aperture shaping, and counterform placement within many of the letterforms.

    Ouroboros is also a font for alchemists, witches, heretics, outsiders and curious people in general. It's inspired by early art-nouveau styles, which were sometimes used in relation with magical themes and symbolism, so it comes together with a set of alchemical and astronomical symbols.

    Patriot is a display sans serif typeface with a great quantity of distinctive features, from irregular crossbars to abrupt diagonal strokes. It also demonstrates its industrialist nature with a uniformity in weight, and no flourishes nor distinctions between thick and thin lines. Traces of Art Deco, Bauhaus and hints of Constructivism are preserved in the digital typeface, promising a progressive and influential voice when used in proper manners.

    Roundo is a geometric sans serif typeface, optimized for headlines and other on-screen display-sized text. Roundo's Latin-script character set is made up of top-heavy letters; this reverse contrast is particularly visible in Roundo's lowercase letters. The typeface's lowercase also sports a nice hybridization of geometric sans and humanistic sans design features.

    Titan One by Rodrigo Fuenzalida is a really fat display type with a happy and cheerful personality. It takes most of its essence from hand lettering with big brushes. It is designed to be used mainly on headers and short texts.

    Westgate was designed based on the vernacular concrete typography on the North, East and West gates of Saigon's iconic Ben Thanh Market. The typeface carries an elegant condensed form inspired by the Art Deco style of the early 20th century French colonial era. It features elongated letter heights, combined with geometric lines and forms. The most charming feature is the Vietnamese diacritics which are harmoniously integrated into the letterforms, thus compensating for the typographic challenges of the Vietnamese language system while not compromising legibility.

    Zen Loop Family is one of three Latin fonts designed by Yoshimichi Ohira, as part of the Zen Fonts collection. Tokyo Zoo was originally designed for an animal exhibition. The stripes suggest zoo cages but overall it's a fun and stylish design.
